Thank you for visiting with us at the Celebrate Recovery West conference at Saddleback Church. What an energizing few days that was! Many attendees were inspired by Dr. Townsend's presentation and are looking for information on the programs offered through the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. As a reminder, we offer the following graduate programs at the Institute -
MA in Counseling
MA in Organization Leadership
MA in Executive Coaching and Consultation.
If you are not looking to get your masters, the above are also offered at the certificate level.
Your requested information on the MA in Counseling program. (If you would like information on other programs offered, just reply to this email and I will make sure you get it.) We are looking forward to our next start to the program in Spring 2019 with classes beginning in late February.
Below are some highlights of the program. For more information visit our website -
*The program is offered in an online format after students attend the face to face kick off conference. Online class sessions meet in a virtual classroom one time per week. These virtual class sessions are recorded so that, should students not be able to attend the session, they will view the recording to stay current on content and assignments.
*The program begins with a 4 day kick-off conference on our Irvine campus where Dr. Townsend will conduct a series of trainings to support a successful start to your program. The conference is the first 3 unit course in the program and attendance is required. The term begins February 25th, and the face to face conference for Spring takes place in Irvine, CA. Sunday, March 3, 2019 and wraps up late afternoon on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.
*Students have the option of completing the program in 2 years by taking 2 courses per 7 week term, or in 3 years by taking 1 course per 7 week term.
*The program is 60 units/credits and the tuition is $575.00 per unit/credit. Financial Aid is available as well as payment plans. Please use the link below to access our Financial Aid information.
*Completion of the program can lead to licensure in your state. Students are required to research their state's requirements to ensure all are met by our program. Please see the link below that will provide some insight into your state's requirements:
Join us at our next information night for the Townsend Institute. This event takes place on September 18th and you can join us via live stream. (We can not accommodate students on campus.) The team will provide an overview of the programs, as well as helpful information regarding admissions and financial aid. As a "Thank You" for attending the information session, registered participants will have the $50.00 application fee waived.
